Salary: £170 - £260 per day (depending on experience and aligned with your current pay scale)

Computer Science Teacher

Academics Canterbury are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computer Science Teacher to join a good school in Thanet. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students at both the secondary and A-level ranges. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team of educators committed to academic excellence.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver dynamic computer science lessons, ensuring they align with the curriculum standards and educational goals of the school
Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to students of diverse abilities and learning styles
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective learning
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress and personal growth
Use innovative teaching techniques, including digital resources, to enhance student understanding and engagement
Collaborate with fellow teachers and the computer science department to develop curriculum materials and assessments
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of computer science and share this knowledge with students and colleagues
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (relevant teaching qualifications are advantageous)
Proven experience teaching computer science at secondary and A-levels, preferably in a private school setting
Deep understanding of computer science concepts and programming languages
Familiarity with curriculum frameworks, such as GCSE, A-level, or IB Computer Science
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
Passion for education and a genuine desire to support students' academic and personal development
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
