Position Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer Location Gaydon Position Type Contract IR35 Status Inside IR35 Salary £27.21 per hour (umbrella inside IR35) About the company I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week. Job Description The Thermal CFD team provides specialized skills in fluid dynamics through computer modelling techniques, covering full vehicle thermal analysis to ensure the components and systems are robust to their thermal environment. Supporting the Lead Engineers to manage their projects and processes while working independently with limited supervision. Essential Skills
Excellent understanding of thermal CFD analysis and thermal processes, ideally using StarCCM+. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Ability to lead technical issue resolution with the support of the test team, CAE teams, Technical Specialists and external parties.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Climatic Wind Tunnels and Hot Environment Testing. Whole vehicle thermal validation experience.
Education
Degree level in a technical subject.
