This approach enables the company to respond quickly and effectively to market developments, while meeting growing expectations in terms of sustainability and performance in food packaging.Job PurposeYou ensure that the company\'s activities and products comply with applicable British and international standards and British health and safety legislation.You advise and assist the company in bringing its activities and products into line with industry best practice in terms of production quality, health and safety, and environmental sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecifying StandardsAssess product specifications, requirements and customer expectations.Agree in-house (product) standardsDefine processes and procedures in conjunction with operating staff for both internal and supplier implementationMaintain controls and documentationEnsure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and monitored2. ComplianceEnsure the company and its suppliers’ day-to-day compliance with agreed national and international standards and certifications including, non-exhaustively, ISO9001, BRCGS, ISO45001, FSC/PEFC, SEDEX, ISO 14001 and EU food contact materials standardsSource and respond to Customer requests for supply of compliance documentationAudit, monitor, challenge and supervise internal and supplier auditingAct as key correspondent for compliance and customer auditors /quality managers and ensure all non-conformances and corrective actions resulting from audits are implemented and communicatedSupervise and where appropriate, carry out day-to-day quality control activityOversee the use of the QC testing facilities3. Complaints handlingCoordinate the processing of all Customer Product and service quality complaintsReport back to Customers on behalf of the CompanyEnsure that and remedial and/or rectification work is carried out by the Company or its suppliersPropose, document and implement any processes or procedural changes requiredPrepare and follow up claims on suppliers (including raw materials and factored products)4.
