We are seeking a Compliance Officer to support the Risk & Compliance department for our client within the retail industry. This temp to perm role in Birmingham, located in the jewellery quarter requires a detail-oriented individual with Compliance experience to assist in managing internal compliance processes effectively.\n\nClient Details\n\nThis opportunity is with a well-established organisation within the retail industry. They are now seeking a Compliance Officer to join them on a temp to perm basis at their offices in Birmingham on a temp to perm basis.\n\nDescription\n\nEnsure compliance with UK financial regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, and HMRC guidelines related to precious metals trading.\nConduct risk assessments and monitor compliance across customer onboarding, transactions, and bullion storage.\nDevelop, maintain, and enforce internal compliance policies, including KYC and Anti-Bribery procedures.\nPerform internal audits and investigate any compliance breaches or suspicious activities.\nDeliver staff training on compliance requirements and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.Profile\n\nA successful Compliance Officer should have:\n\nPrevious experience in compliance or a related field within the retail industry.\nPrevious experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles within financial services or similar industries.\nGood understanding understanding of UK financial regulations, AML, and KYC requirements.\nExcellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret complex regulations.\nStrong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with compliance software is a plus.Job Offer\n\nCompetitive annual salary of £28000 - £32000 per annum based on experience.\nA temporary position offering flexibility.\nTemp to perm.\nAccessible Birmingham City Centre location\nFree parking available\nRoutes for progression within the organisation.\nAn opportunity to work within a reputable retail organisation.\nExposure to compliance processes and frameworks.If you are ready to contribute your expertise as a Compliance Officer in Birmingham, we encourage you to apply today
