Compliance Manager

\nWe're currently working with a fabulous growing London law firm, looking to hire into a newly created role in their Compliance function.
\n
\nNow looking for a Compliance Manager to report into the Head of Compliance. This current team of 2 looking to add someone senior in to bridge the gap between assistant and Head of. A great opportunity with real ownership across compliance, scope to modernise compliance, and improve processes.
\n
\nThe role?
- \n\t
- Owning day-to-day regulatory compliance across the firm, including SRA standards, conflicts, AML, sanctions and anti-bribery matters \n\t
- Acting as the firm’s subject-matter expert on AML and sanctions, ensuring policies, controls and procedures remain robust and up to date \n\t
- Leading risk management activity, including maintaining risk registers and assessing emerging regulatory and operational risks \n\t
- Managing and supporting responses to regulatory bodies and external investigations \n\t
- Preparing for and managing external audits and accreditations, including CQS \n\t
- Delivering firm-wide compliance training and working with IT and L&D teams on ongoing education initiatives \n\t
- Advising on and implementing legal tech and AI solutions to improve compliance efficiency and oversight \n\t
- Supporting professional indemnity insurance and practising certificate renewals \n\t
- Helping to build a strong, practical culture of compliance across the firm \n

\nAbout you?
\n
\n Strong compliance experience within a UK law firm, 5+ years experience
\n Excellent knowledge of SRA, AML, sanctions & GDPR
\n Experience managing audits and regulatory investigations
\n Confidence advising senior stakeholders
\n A practical, commercial mindset
\n Ability to manage multiple priorities
\n
