Job Family Group Ethics & Compliance Group Job Title Compliance Manager - Regulatory Reporting Location London, Canary Wharf | Grade G | Hybrid (3 days onsite) Job Description We're looking for a Compliance Manager to help lead our regulatory reporting oversight and support our trading and supply business in meeting its obligations across global energy and financial markets. This role sits at the heart of how we operate safely and responsibly. You'll play a key part in ensuring we meet multi-jurisdictional reporting requirements while helping shape how our teams respond to regulatory change. What you'll be doing You'll lead the day-to-day oversight of our regulatory reporting operations and work closely with colleagues in London, Poland, and India. Your work will help ensure our reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing reporting obligations, systems, processes, and controls across REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II, MAS, and ASIC. Monitoring reporting risks and helping the business plan and implement changes as regulations evolve. Leading regulatory change projects and supporting the delivery of new reporting requirements. Providing clear, practical guidance to trading, commercial, and functional teams. Building strong relationships with senior customers and positioning the reporting team as a trusted partner. Participating in industry working groups and leading our horizon-scanning efforts to identify upcoming regulatory developments. Delivering training and helping colleagues understand reporting expectations and best practices. Finding opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and use technology to improve efficiency. Escalating key risks to senior leaders to support safe and compliant operations.
About you You enjoy working in fast-moving environments and are comfortable leading through complexity. You're someone who can bring clarity, influence decisions, and help others understand why compliance matters. We're looking for someone who has:
Experience in commodity trading, wholesale energy markets, or financial services. Knowledge of one or more regulatory regimes such as EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, MAS, or ASIC. Experience delivering regulatory reporting or compliance change programmes. Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders. A collaborative approach and the ability to work with diverse teams across multiple locations. A passion for continuous improvement and a willingness to challenge existing ways of working. Experience coaching or upskilling others and sharing knowledge across teams.
