With offices in London, Cardiff, Frankfurt, and Austin, TX, and a growing focus on contract recruitment, we are looking for someone to take our compliance operation to the next level.


As GDPR compliant, Cyber Essentials and Good Business Charter-accredited business, we are looking for someone to oversee and strategically manage all aspects of compliance within Franklin Fitch (Maternity Cover 12-18 months):


What the job looks like

  • Regular solution-oriented review, design, implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures
  • Proactively understand legislative changes in the global employment / contract market, identify changes the business needs to make to ensure the Company remains compliant
  • Act as Data Protection Officer for Franklin Fitch handling relevant employee trainings as well as incoming Data Protection enquiries
  • Employee training (database compliance, compliance tools, Data protection, contractual clauses and other)
  • Handle new and existing business terms and conditions, NDA and other documents reviews and feedback
  • Highlight potential contractual and commercial risks, opportunities, and threats
  • Audit Reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Detection and Management of Backdoor Hire cases
  • Responsibility for compliance with an understanding of international contractor legislation, including but not limited to AWR, IR35, Opt-Out Regulations, cross-border working
  • Manage contract and compliance queries, drafting and submitting contracts and chasing outstanding documentation
  • Liaising with the Sales / Admin / Finance teams to resolve outstanding queries and ensuring Contractors / Clients are ready for payment/invoicing


Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Deep knowledge of UK, USA, and Germany employment regulations
  • Experience in Recruitment Compliance in the UK, USA and ideally Germany
  • Proven knowledge of engagement processes for professional contractors
  • Knowledge of IR35, AWR as well as solid experience and understanding of International Tax Compliance
  • Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to compliance problem solving
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and thrive in a constantly evolving landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with contractors, suppliers and work colleagues
  • Efficient and well organised
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
