Anderson Knight is recruiting for a Client Onboarding & Matter Operations Analyst on behalf of a leading legal firm based in Edinburgh. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and keen attention to detail, particularly in a professional services or finance setting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring efficient client and matter onboarding processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting compliance and risk controls.
Working Hours: Typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible working available)
Location: Edinburgh – Hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 from home)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
Key Responsibilities:
•\tManage the onboarding process for new clients and matters, ensuring accurate setup within internal systems.
•\tReview and cleanse client and matter data to maintain consistency and data quality across the firm’s platforms.
•\tConduct conflict checks, escalating potential issues to senior stakeholders as needed.
•\tSupport ongoing compliance with client identification and risk procedures.
•\tEnsure engagement letters are issued and retained where required.
•\tProvide timely and professional administrative support across the finance and compliance teams.
•\tMonitor client financial status and communicate relevant changes to the responsible partner.
•\tAssist in tracking and reporting on client data issues and onboarding status.
•\tLiaise with legal and support teams to ensure all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
•\tHandle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements:
•\tProven administrative experience, ideally within a legal, financial, or professional services environment.
•\tStrong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
•\tExceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
•\tAbility to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines.
•\tCompetency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems.
•\tProactive, team-oriented mindset with a flexible, can-do attitude.
•\tPrevious experience with compliance, onboarding, or conflict checking is advantageous.
