Reporting directly to the Senior Compliance and Risk Lawyer, this role promises a stimulating environment where your expertise will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Expert Advisory: Provide expert advice on complex risk and compliance matters, including professional standards, ethics, regulatory compliance, data protection, and conflict of interest.

- Project Management: Own and manage various risk and compliance-related projects, working closely with divisional and business leads.

- Data Analysis: Produce and monitor risk and compliance data to identify strengths and weaknesses in current processes.

- Policy Development: Assist in updating the firm’s precedent documents and create concise, professional policies and training materials.

- Training and Development: Develop and deliver bespoke training programmes for different divisions, enhancing the firm’s overall compliance knowledge.

- Leadership: Lead the escalation of higher-risk matters to the Risk Committee and coach junior team members.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Extensive experience in risk and compliance within a law firm.

- Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct.

- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

- Strong analytical skills, numeracy, and attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications

- Qualified solicitor with a current Practising Certificate.

- Degree-level education or equivalent, preferably in law or compliance.

- Experience in managerial or coaching roles.
