Migrant Help have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Community Liaison Coordinator to join our team!
Location: Homebased (covering London and surrounding areas)
Contract: 12 month fixed term (with potential to be extended or made permanent)
Salary: £38,548

The Community Liaison Coordinator Role
Part of the Community Liaison team, the Community Liaison Coordinator is an exciting role which forms part of our Advice, Issue Reporting and Eligibility (AIRE) contract at Migrant Help. You work within a Specialised Services team to develop and maintain partnerships with private, public and voluntary sector organisations. This involves working with local communities to meet the needs of our Clients and support the successful delivery of the AIRE contract. You will establish practical and meaningful outreach relationships which may lead to service commissioning and deliver training programs as appropriate to other service providers including advice hubs and voluntary sector agencies.
Key Responsibilities Of Our Community Liaison Coordinator
- Establish, build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholder, community organisations and voluntary sector agencies, within the Asylum Seekers and Refugee sector, to establish referral protocols, commissioning arrangements and partnership working agreements to support the effective delivery of the AIRE contract and to promote Migrant Help provision as a complimentary part of the wider support community.
- To map regional provision of services (pastoral, health, art, fitness activities etc.) and update the Directory of Local Services to support clients both inside and outside Initial Accommodations.
- Work in partnership with the AIRE Outreach team to ensure our most vulnerable clients are well supported.
- To plan and coordinate a small number of activities or events for clients over the year
- To instigate and build on working relationships with statutory sector providers such as DWP, JCP, housing and education in order to map integration pathways and facilitate effective move-on.
- Provide information and training to third sector / community groups to enable them to be proactive in their assistance of asylum seekers/ refused asylum seekers as required.
- Evidence of successfully working as part of a team, building trust and long-term relationships
- Practical experience of community development work
- Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

- Be able to provide a valid passport eg. 10 year full British passport, EU or non-EU Passport with indefinite leave to remain
- Be able to provide continuous UK address history for the previous 5 years
- Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment
- Our working week is 35 hours per week offering flexibility and work life balance
