About the Communities Manager role
Providing inspiring leadership to the Community Housing Team, you will ensure that we deliver a truly personal service that promotes safe, thriving communities and keeps our residents independent and resilient. With a remit including the Haldon Ridge Traveller Site, you will shape policy on tenancy management, safeguarding, compliance, community development and partnership working whilst ensuring we achieve the highest regulatory and professional standards. In particular, you will make certain that we respond effectively to any incidents of tenancy breaches, domestic abuse or antisocial behaviour and will actively monitor and mitigate risks.
About you
Experienced in complex housing management, you should be well versed in tenancy and sheltered housing legislation and skilled in guiding cases through the court process. Naturally, you will be passionate about improving residents lives, committed to best value and best practice, and confident making presentations to senior managers and local authorities. Equally importantly, you should hold or be working towards a Level 4 Certificate in Housing and will ideally be familiar with developing and implementing customer involvement frameworks. However, its your tenacity, clear judgement and determination to make a difference every day that will matter most.
