The Communications and Outreach Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and impact of Auditory Verbal UK, with focus on its training provision. This role involves developing and implementing effective communication strategies and coordinating outreach activities to engage, inform and activate stakeholders, with a focus on professionals (speech and language therapists and teachers of the deaf) working with young deaf children. It is a key role in supporting the strategic activity to enable every family with a deaf child the opportunity to access Auditory Verbal therapy through publicly funded services close to where they live across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications and outreach strategy: work as part of a team developing and executing effective communications, marketing and outreach strategy focused on target audiences, with focus on the health and educational professional audience to increase understanding of Auditory Verbal therapy and enrolment on training in the approach.
Event coordination: assist in organising and promoting both online and in-person events, workshops, and taster training days for clinical professionals, as well as support for events focused on decision makers including MPs at the Houses of Parliament.
