We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Project Manager to join our dynamic Commissioning team within the Children’s Services Directorate. This pivotal role will lead commissioning transformation work aligned to the Safety Valve Programme, focusing on both Pre-16 and Post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering commissioning strategies that improve outcomes for children and young people, ensure value for money, and reduce reliance on high-cost placements. Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning projects that support the development of sustainable, needs-led services for children and young people with SEND. Drive improvements in service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based decision-making. Support the implementation of frameworks and agreements that enhance quality, consistency, and cost control across commissioned services. Contribute to the development of local and regional commissioning arrangements, ensuring alignment with sufficiency strategies and preparation for adulthood pathways. Monitor and evaluate commissioned services to ensure they meet agreed outcomes and deliver best value.
