Job Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of three 400kV AIS bays interfacing with a nearby HVDC substation. This is a key role within a high-voltage infrastructure project, requiring strong technical knowledge, planning skills, and site-based experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute commissioning activities for 400kV AIS equipment
* Plan and prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project specifications
* Act as the primary on-site technical representative to the client
* Provide regular updates and report progress to the Project Manager, Site Manager, and Commissioning Manager
* Manage task cards, resource allocation, and testing equipment during commissioning phases
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Proven track record in high-voltage commissioning, ideally with 400kV AIS systems
* Experience working on HVDC interface projects is a strong advantage
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Ability to work independently and within a site-based team environment
* Familiarity with industry standards and health & safety practice
