Here, your work creates impact you can see and feel, every day.   Your Role and Responsibilities   In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.  The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the UK. Overnight stays away from home will be required.  Provides technical support and solves problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category (installation and commissioning; maintenance; repairs; engineering and consulting; advanced services; extensions, upgrades, and retrofits; end-of-life services, replacements, etc.Provides technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers. Determines effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively. Manages customer relationships and maintains regular contact with key customers. Identifies new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth. Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed. Works to reduce cost and improves the quality of delivery of service and projects.   Qualifications for the Role     Degree, HNC/D or relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.  5+ years of experience in Switchgear Commissioning / Testing. Expertise within electrical protection commissioning. Extensive experience of SCADA applications, development and field support  Strong background in Low/Medium-Voltage (LV/11kV/33kV) electrical distribution.  Knowledge in MS Office, ABB PCM600 Software, Omicron Test Universe.  Excellent understanding of the current H&S legislation. Demonstrate excellent customer focus & timekeeping skills. Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement. Full valid UK driving licence.    Benefits   ABB offers a full range of benefits to help you thrive at work and beyond. Competitive salary 25 days annual  leave plus bank holidays Competitive contributory pension scheme Life assurance Flexible benefits scheme (Includes options to buy/sell holidays, health checks, dental, eye care, gym memberships, cycle to work, gadget discounts and more) Internal mobility opportunities, mentorships & access to projects globally Employee Assistance Programme Generous employee referral scheme Company car or commercial vehicle  Private medical coverGenerous bonus scheme   For the 5th consecutive year ABB UK has been recognised as a Top Employer in UK.
