Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support the culinary brigade in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes while learning essential techniques in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role is ideal for a junior chef looking to build a strong foundation and grow within the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and production of food items in line with the kitchen standards and recipes. Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to consistently high standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Follow instructions from senior chefs to support service during busy periods. Measure ingredients and portion food accurately. Learn and practice proper food storage, rotation, and labeling procedures. Handle basic kitchen equipment and tools with care. Support with cleaning, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties as required. Assist in receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring quality and proper storage. Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn from chefs and supervisors. Once train will cover 2 days a week cooking Breakfast Following the HACCP requirements To qualify for the FSA allergen certificate To assist the Chef in any other duties he/she may ask of you Qualifications & Skills: Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage but not essential. Culinary training or relevant food-related qualification preferred. Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (Level 1 or 2 certification is a plus). Passion for food and a desire to grow in the culinary industry. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take direction. Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
