We're looking for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Whipsnade Zoo

As a Commis Chef, you'll support the kitchen team in delivering freshly prepared food to the thousands of guests who visit Whipsnade Zoo each year. Working with experienced chefs, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a busy hospitality environment.

Whether you are starting your culinary career or looking to build experience in a professional kitchen, we'll support your development and help you grow.

What you'll be doing
Assisting with food preparation across a range of menu items
Supporting chefs during busy service periods
Maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
Learning kitchen systems, recipes, and service procedures
Helping with deliveries, stock rotation, and basic kitchen organisation

What we're looking for
A passion for food and willingness to learn
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
A positive attitude and strong team ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work weekends and peak visitor periods
