Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters with minimal supervision, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals. Draft, negotiate, and complete commercial leases and related documentation, and advise landlords and tenants on rent reviews, break clauses, and dilapidation issues. Carry out property due diligence, report on title and risk, and provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients. Regularly liaise with agents, lenders, surveyors, and other advisers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures. Support junior team members and contribute to client relationship management and business development activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with ideally 5 years' post‑qualification experience in commercial property; less PQE considered if at least 5 years fee‑earning experience in commercial property. Strong technical knowledge of UK commercial property law. Experience handling a broad range of commercial property transactions independently. Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Commercially minded with a client‑focused approach. High level of organisation, attention to detail, and professionalism.
