A leading defence services business require a Commercial Manager. Applicants need full contract lifecycle commercial management skills and ideally have experience of defence contracting and familiarity with the MOD as a customer.

The Commercial Manager will join a growing and high performing Commercial Management team responsible for developing, negotiating and managing new and existing customer contracts, from cradle-to-grave. Serving as a point of contact for MOD customers, the Commercial Manager will serve as an SME on negotiations and contract management to stakeholders within Bids, Projects and Engineering. There will also be opportunity to support procurement colleagues with downstream activities.

Specific duties of the Commercial Manager include:

Support bid, new business quotation and tendering activities Negotiation of commercial T&Cs with new/existing projects (change management, scope creep etc) Day-to-Day contract management activities Review of commercial contracts, highlighting risk, liabilities and areas to maximise profit Manage commercial and contractual risk Stakeholder collaboration - Bids, Sales, Projects, Engineering etc Support Commercial Contract Management leadership in review of process, procedure, policy etc
