The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial leadership across the division, overseeing multiple projects and supporting senior operational leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading commercial strategy and contractual governance (NEC & bespoke contracts)
• Managing and developing Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams
• Overseeing tender reviews, pricing strategy, and risk mitigation
• Driving margin protection and commercial performance
• Managing change control, claims, and dispute resolution where required
• Acting as a key interface between operational, technical, and executive teams

This role requires a commercially astute professional who is confident operating at both project and strategic level.

About You

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within civil engineering or specialist infrastructure
• Strong contractual knowledge (NEC essential; experience with complex forms advantageous)
• Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects
• Strong leadership and team development capability
• Commercially strategic, risk-aware, and solutions-focused
• Comfortable operating within technically complex environments
