Job Title: M&E Commercial Manager\n\nLocation: Leeds, West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)\n\nSalary: £75,000 to £85,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance + Hybrid Working + Package\n\nRole Highlights:\n\nClear progression path with the opportunity to move into a senior leadership role as the business unit grows\nHybrid working model - balance between office and home\nWork with modern, high-profile retail brands on exciting nationwide projectsRole Overview:\n\nWe are seeking an experienced M&E Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and commercial management of M&E installation packages on retail projects ranging from £100k to £1m on a nationwide basis. This role involves commercially managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on budget control, ensuring project profitability.\n\nExperience, Knowledge & Qualifications:\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will need:\n\nProven experience as an M&E Commercial Manager with a Tier 1 Contractor\nProven experience managing a commercial team\nStrong expertise in cost control, forecasting, valuations and CVRs\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific commercial tools\nDegree or HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction or a related disciplineDUTIES:\n\nReport directly to the M&E Director, providing clear and timely commercial updates\nAct as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, demonstrating a professional, solutions-focused approach\nManage all commercial aspects of M&E packages from tender stage through to final account\nSupport pre-construction activities including enquiries, take-offs, and pricing exercises\nLead subcontract procurement, negotiation, and contract administration\nMonitor project performance, track variations, and manage change control processes\nWork closely with operations teams to ensure cost, quality, and programme compliance\nPrepare accurate monthly cost, valuation, and forecasting reports (CVRs, cashflow, and risk analysis)\nImplement and maintain commercial procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvement\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers\nSupport project handovers, final accounts, and project close-out documentation\nConduct risk assessments and proactively manage commercial risks on projects\nEnsure adherence to legal, contractual, and statutory requirements\nMentor and support junior commercial staff, sharing best practices and developing capability within the team\nAnalyse commercial performance data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement\nCollaborate with project teams on value engineering, cost-saving initiatives, and programme optimisationContacts to Apply:\n\nSam Hunter - Associate Director: (phone number removed)\n\nCameron Lally - Senior Resourcer: (phone number removed)
