An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a senior Commercial Disputes lawyer to join a highly regarded Top 20 UK law firm in Manchester. This is a strategic hire into a growing disputes practice, offering high-quality work, genuine progression prospects, and a clear pathway towards partnership.

The Opportunity

You will join a nationally recognised Commercial Disputes team, known for its commercial, pragmatic and innovative approach to complex business disputes. The team competes directly with Magic Circle and leading City firms, acting for an impressive client base including major corporates and FTSE 100 organisations.

This is a key role within the Manchester office, where you will play a central part in driving the continued growth of the practice while working on high-value, complex disputes.

The Role

You will:

    \n
  • Advise on a broad range of commercial and corporate disputes
  • Lead on complex matters, managing cases and supervising junior lawyers
  • Work closely with partners and colleagues across other practice areas on multi-disciplinary matters
  • Play an active role in business development, strengthening existing client relationships and developing new ones
  • Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior team members
  • Help drive innovation in service delivery, including the use of legal tech and AI

The Candidate

You will:

    \n
  • Be a qualified solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE from a recognised disputes practice
  • Have strong experience across a range of commercial litigation matters
  • Be commercially minded, proactive, and confident in managing client relationships
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop others
  • Be ambitious, with a genuine interest in progressing towards partnership
