Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.
Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.
They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.
As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible to carry out HVCA, Planned Maintenance (PPMs), Reactive works, M&E repairs and able to carry out minor projects for specific trade associated systems. This will be working on Cornwall Council’s commercial estate of around 300 properties.
These are permanent positions and we are looking for candidates based in Cornwall or Plymouth. It is working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week and is paying £41k per annum. Perks include van which can be used for private use, overtime, pension, 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, sick pay, 1 week in 5 call out rota with £105 per week standby allowance, career development training etc.
Responsibilities
* To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
* Respond to Reactive Works to include all Mechanical & Electrical and minor fabric issues.
* Adhere to the out of hours call out rota (as required).
* Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
* Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
* Logbook auditing, Tablet interface via the clients CAFM application.
* To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
Skills & Attributes
* Commercial Gas Qualifications are essential.
* Basic electrical knowledge.
* Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
* Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
* Good customer service skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
* Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
