Commercial Gas Engineer (Depot Based)Role SummaryThe Depot Commercial Gas Engineer is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, comissioning, and repair of commercial gas appliances and heating systems within depot facilities with in Birmingham. The role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Gas Safe regulations and company health and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, commission and repair commercial gas boilers, heaters, temporay boilers and associated plant equipment.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns.Commission commercial gas appliances and pipework in line with regulations and industry standards.Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and company health and safety policies.Complete service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.Liaise with depot management and maintenance teams to support operational requirements.Essential RequirementsValid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications (e.g., COCN1/CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/TPCP1A).Gas Safe Registered.NVQ Level 3 in Gas Engineering, Plumbing & Heating, or equivalent.Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial gas systems and temporary boilers Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of commercial gas systems and safety regulations.Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability.Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.Good communication and record-keeping skills.Strong commitment to health and safety standards.Salary & BenefitsSalary: £45,000 per yearHours: 40 hours per weekCall-Out: 1 in 8 rotaHoliday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension: Company pension schemePPE, tools, and training provided.Commercial Gas Engineer (Depot Based) - Walsall - Engineering Commercial Gas Engineer (Depot Based) - Walsall - Engineering Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
