The Commercial Finance Manager (Core) partners with business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights that drive revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost efficiency. This role combines financial analysis with strategic business partnering to support decision-making and performance management across the European core business. Location: Bracknell | Hybrid - 3 days office/ 2 days remote. Applicants should therefore be within a reasonable commuting distance of Bracknell.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
Collaborate with Sales and operational teams across Europe to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Act as a trusted advisor, influencing commercial outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
Financial Analysis & Value Creation
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for EBITDA growth through revenue enhancement and cost transformation.
Monitor business performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations.
Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Deliver accurate and timely forecasts for revenue, margin, and operating costs.
Performance Management & Reporting
Prepare management reports and dashboards summarizing financial performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
Present insights to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Support digital finance initiatives and adoption of BI tools for better decision-making.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills; ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a matrix organization.
Significant experience in a commercial finance role within a multinational environment.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP, Hyperion, and Power BI.
Language: English (business fluency).
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
Additional European language skills (Dutch, French, or German preferred).
MBA or professional certification (ACCA, CIMA).
Experience in technology distribution or related industry.
Familiarity with digital transformation in finance.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of forecasts and reports.
Quality of insights and recommendations delivered to business partners.
Successful implementation of process improvements and digital initiatives.
Positive feedback from stakeholders on business partnering effectiveness.
