Reporting to the COO this role is key to developing, executing and monitoring a commercially successful Caring Services offering. Working closely with regional leaders this role will identify, create and drive commercially viable opportunities to develop Caring Services.Main duties of the jobThe Commercial Development Director role is responsible for:Developing and implementing a UK-wide commercial strategy including pricing, contract models, identifying partnership opportunities and negotiationsCreating and deploying performance measurements and targets that drive and inform continuous improvement and innovationCollaborating with Place leaders and Finance Business Partners to develop the budget and monitor financial performance of the commercial strategyWorking closely with the UK service re-design program, Closing the Gap, creating a route-to-market strategy and supporting Place leaders with deploymentAbout usThe care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life.Job responsibilitiesWhat Were Looking ForWere looking for a proven leader with a deep understanding of healthcare economics, regulatory landscapes and industry dynamics, with a strong ability to identify, structure and set-up high-value partnerships.You will need to demonstrate:Experience developing, validating and implementing a commercial strategy to drive financial performance and impactExperience creating and monitoring commercial performance measurements and communicating these to a variety of stakeholdersAble to collaborate with stakeholders to support and influence their commercial understanding and increase performance literacy within the organisationExperience developing route-to-market strategies for new services or productsA project management approach to driving commercial change through an organisationClosing date for applications: 6 April 2026Contract: PermanentBenefits youll LOVE:Flexible working.
