The Role

Based at our modern Head Office in Huddersfield, this a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Design Manager to join our Architectural Design Teammade up of 21 Architects, Technologists and Technicians of varying experience from university graduates to more seasoned & fully qualified professionals.

Working in a fast-paced, dynamic Design Team, that work on multiple projects at any one time contributing £3.5m fee income this new role requires the successful candidate to oversee contracts and the arrangements for invoicing and collecting fees, advise on the teams contractual obligations, manage commercial issues, and commercial risk management. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Manager within the construction sector having strong commercial acumen and true professionalism in all they do.

Ideal Candidate:

Familiarity with the RIBA plan of work stages 1 - 7

Proven commercial leadership experience within the construction industry

Maintaining the commercial control of projects

Protecting MDAs contractual position

Developing commercial awareness within the team

Confident, strong communicator & experienced in client facing roles

Managing the commercial client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis

Willingness to travel across the UK

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

A self-starter able to be trusted to work with a high degree of autonomy & self-motivation.

Full UK driving licence
