The role offers excellent progression opportunities, both within the team and wider business, for the right candidate.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs the Group Commercial Compliance Manager you will report to the Group Risk Director. Working within the Group Risk Team, and in partnership with the Group Commercial team, you will support the trading divisions with their operation of commercial processes, ensuring that commercial policies are consistently and correctly applied across the Group and support the ongoing development of these policies.\n\nPrincipal accountabilities will include:\n\nBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with commercial staff across the business. The role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders.\n\nSupporting the Group Commercial Team with the development of commercial policies and processes in line with good practice and business needs, including the communication of policy changes and delivery of training.\n\nUndertaking compliance reviews within divisions to assess levels of adherence to policy requirements.\n\nProducing high quality written outputs and sharing good commercial practices across divisions.\n\nMonitoring review findings and actions to ensure identified issues are appropriately remediated by divisions.\n\nAssisting divisions with the execution of commercial processes where there are local staffing issues or other operational challenges.\n\nExperience\n\nProficient in quantity surveying and commercial awareness.\n\nSignificant experience working with a large house builder in a commercial discipline.\n\nRelevant experience in a commercial role at both head office and divisional level is desirable.\n\nKnowledge of COINS is desirable.\n\nQualifications and Training\n\nFull UK driving license.\n\nCommercial or surveying degree is desirable.\n\nChartered status in a commercial or surveying discipline is desirable.\n\nCSCS card holder is desirable.\n\nSkills and Aptitude\n\nSelf-starter, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.\n\nCommercial and delivery focus.\n\nInterpersonal and influencing skills, credible at all levels within a business.\n\nOrganisation and administration skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and working to deadlines.\n\nWorking under pressure and within a changing environment.\n\nVerbal and written presentation skills.\n\nProficient IT skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.\n\nCommitment to and .\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nBased at head office with regular travel (c.30%) to our 22 divisions across the UK.\n\nCore hours and remote working options available.\n\nPlease note this role is subject to a basic DBS and financial pre-employment checks.\n\nIn return we can offer you:\n\nCompetitive salary\n\nCompetitive car allowance and optional salary sacrifice car scheme\n\nCompetitive annual bonus\n\nContributory pension scheme\n\n25 days holiday, plus bank holidays\n\nHoliday purchase scheme\n\nPrivate medical insurance\n\nLife assurance\n\nFree on-site parking\n\nFree on-site gym\n\nAccess to discounts and benefits portal\n\nSharesave scheme\n\nCycle to work scheme\n\nEarn and learn opportunities\n\nWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications is received
