Commercial Analyst

Location: Preston area, Lancashire

Are you a data-driven analyst with a passion for uncovering commercial insights? My client, a long-established and highly respected leader in their sector, is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join their Head Office Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making. You'll be delivering accurate, insightful, and timely data analysis across various business areas, directly impacting commercial performance.

As a Trading Commercial Analyst, you'll be responsible for:

• Producing accurate daily, weekly, and period reports and dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Developing scenario models to inform and support strategic business decisions.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the Trading department to provide data-driven insights that enhance commercial performance.
• Supporting ongoing projects focused on improving data use and analytics capability within the business.
• Presenting findings and trends clearly and professionally to multiple stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge existing processes and contribute new ideas.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload effectively.
• The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Business, Data Analytics) is desirable.
