In this position the successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial aspects of construction projects. Assisting the quantity surveyors and Head of Commercial in the managing of costs, cash flow and revenue streams from the early design plans, through to the practical completion and beyond. The role will also incorporate the compilation and issuing of commercial reports for the Head of Commercial along with assisting the Quantity Surveyors when required. Responsibilities Compilation of financial progress reports Compilation of cashflow reports Minuting and drafting of commercial meetings for issue to Head of Commercial Assisting the Q.S. team with workload when required. Eg: compilation of commercial schedules for issue to the client Preparation of monthly Project Valuations and preparation of Project Projections for issue to Head of Commercial. Input, manage, and extract data from ERP systems (e.g., E Vision, E Valuate) to support financial and commercial reporting Qualifications 5+ GCSEs (Grade C & above) Experience & Knowledge Essential 1-2 years experience working within a construction company. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office software Inc. Excel, Outlook and Word and ERP systems Desirable Experience using E Vison and E Valuate Experience working within a Commercial / Quantity Surveying Dept. Abilities & Skills Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload. Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands. Capacity to work independently with limited supervision Ambitious and enthusiastic towards a career within a fast paced department. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels. To be highly organised with good planning and time- management skills. To be flexible and work as part of a team. Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
