Job Title: Combat Systems Installation & Commissioning Engineer
Location: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Circa £ 45,000 (dependant on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
• Maintaining effective partnerships with a wide variety of Internal and External stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal multi-disciplinary teams
• Supporting installation of Shared Infrastructure related equipment on board ship
• Supporting Installation Inspections, Harbour and Sea Trials where required
• Supporting Integration Test & Trials activities involving Shared Infrastructure
• Involvement with start-up / shut down of equipment under your area of responsibility
• Supporting the management of defects and Observation Reports
• Understanding the need to capture and maintain data generated for use by the project and the tools and techniques used to do so
• Demonstrate a visible commitment to SHE and Quality
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
• Experience with Combat Systems equipment
• Good communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Knowledge of integration, installation, test, trial and acceptance of equipment
• Knowledge of Physical and Functional integration of Combat System equipment
Desirable:
• IT Networking knowledge
• Electrical installation knowledge
• Maritime Combat Systems experience
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

The Installation & Commissioning Team:
As an Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the correctly defined installation and Commissioning of the T26 Shared Infrastructure and associated hardware. The role will ensure that the installed equipment is safe, compliant and fit for use IAW with the agreed design documentation. The role will be expected to liaise with Operations, Planning, CS Physical Integration and CS Co-ordination to align for a smooth transition from stores to ship.
