Coatings Technician (6 Month Temp-to-Perm)

Salary: £26,436.80 per year (£12.71 p/h)
Night Shift Premium: £14.00 per night worked
Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri + paid overtime
Shifts:

• Training: 08:00-16:00
• Rotation: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Coatings Technician to support our client production team. You will carry out surface preparation, load setup, coating chamber preparation, equipment checks, and final packing/despatch. Full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare customer components (cleaning, blasting, masking)
• Set up production loads using jigs and fixtures
• Prepare and test coating chambers
• Review data and complete documentation
• Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Maintain high 5S/housekeeping standards
• Support audits and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

Essential:

• High school education or equivalent
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights
• Physically able to meet manual handling needs
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Coating or manufacturing experience
• Forklift licence
• Basic IT skills
