Salary: £28,500 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production experience in a coatings environment to step into a team leader role with responsibility for day-to-day operations and team leadership.

Reporting to the Coatings Manager, you will oversee two paint line units and ensure production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and support ongoing monitoring within the department Oversee routine equipment checks, maintenance, and cleanliness of paint line units Identify and report faults, defects, or maintenance issues to management Support general maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks as required Monitor production output to ensure quality standards and deadlines are achieved Operate machinery (including forklifts and production equipment) where required

Team Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of paint line operatives Deliver training on machinery and processes to new and existing employees Take ownership of new starter inductions Support ongoing development and upskilling of the team Provide cover for the Coatings Manager when required Escalate any team performance or personnel concerns appropriately
