Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNI Monitoring SME to provide deep technical expertise on enterprise monitoring solutions such as BMC, BHOM, and TSOM. The successful candidate will play a key role in upgrading existing monitoring capabilities and onboarding new strategic services. This role requires hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and supporting monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high service availability within a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of expertise for enterprise monitoring solutions.
Configure, maintain, and administer BMC monitoring tools and related integrations.
Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot alerts and events generated by BMC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Develop and manage service models to understand dependencies and the health of IT services.
Support incident and problem management processes for monitored systems.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance monitoring capabilities and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements through proactive monitoring practices.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to manage technical deliverables and change
What You Will Ideally Bring:
SC Clearance
Proven experience with BMC/BHOM/TSOM monitoring tools (advantageous but not essential).
Strong understanding of monitoring tools, operating systems, and network security concepts.
Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and attack vectors.
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and Scripting or programming .
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage own technical deliverables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with attention to operational detail.
Contract Details
Duration: Initial 6 months (with view to extend) Day Rate: up to £340 per day (Inside IR35) Location: Hybrid - Wokingham/Warwick (3 days onsite; travel to Warwick required for initial training phase) Start Date: ASAP
