We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work on large-scale components in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Turner:
Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
Machining parts up to 10–12 metres in length
Working with Fanuc and Fagor control systems
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Safely operating overhead cranes for handling large components
Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety
Requirements of a CNC Turner:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner
Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls
Experience machining large components (preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Overhead crane experience is essential
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Working Hours:
Operating a 3 shift system (40 hours per week):
Optional hours of the below:
06:00 – 14:30
07:30 – 16:00
14:00 – 22:00
Pay:
Starting from £16.50 per hour
Higher rates available depending on experience
