This is a hands-on role where youll be programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components across a range of industries including medical, oil & gas, and general engineering.Youll be working on varied batch sizes and more complex work, so confidence and attention to detail are key.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming, setting, and operating CNC turning centresWorking with machines such as Nakamura, Goodway, and CMZ (Fanuc controls)Producing components from engineering drawings to tight tolerancesManaging batch runs ranging from 10500 unitsInspecting your own work using manual measuring equipmentTool changes, offsets, and machine adjustmentsRunning multiple machines where requiredGeneral shop floor duties including deburring and maintaining a clean workspaceRequirementsEssential:Proven experience as a CNC Turner (programming, setting & operating)Strong experience with Fanuc controlsAbility to read and work from engineering drawingsConfident using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)Able to work independently and manage your own workloadDesirable:Apprenticeship or time-served backgroundExperience with Nakamura, Goodway, CMZ or similar machinesAny CAD knowledgeWillingness to learn and developHours & Flexibility3740 hours per weekFlexible working patterns available (including 4-day or 4.5-day weeks)Early finish on FridaysOvertime available Salary & Benefits£19£20 per hourCompany pension5 weeks holiday (200 hours) + bank holidaysOvertime Free on-site parkingJBRP1_UKTJ
