Job Title: CNC Turner (Mazak)
Location: Durham
Salary: £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established and growing precision engineering business based in Durham. Operating within the Oil & Gas and Aerospace sectors, this company has recently invested in new machinery and strengthened its management team, making it an exciting time to come on board.
This is a varied and technically engaging role, working on bespoke components and small batch production using high-spec materials.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting, and operating Mazak CNC lathes
Working with Mazatrol conversational programming
Manufacturing one-off components and small batch runs
Machining exotic materials such as Inconel, Super Duplex, and Titanium
Producing parts to tight tolerances in line with industry standards
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
Maintaining high standards of quality and precision
Requirements
Time-served engineer with proven CNC turning experience
Strong background using Mazak lathes
Experience with Mazatrol programming
Ability to machine to tight tolerances
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience working with medium to large components
Background in Oil & Gas or Aerospace industries preferred
Working Hours
Various shift patterns available:
6:00am 2:00pm
2:00pm 10:00pm
6:00pm 6:00am
Overtime available as required
