CNC Sliding Head Turner

Location: Portsmouth Salary: £15.00 – £20 per hour (DOE) Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Day Shift

Actio Engineering Recruitment are assisting are assisting one of our Portsmouth based engineering clients with their search for a skilled CNC Turner with hands-on experience on Citizen sliding head lathes.

Key Responsibilities

* Program, set and operate Citizen sliding head lathes

* Produce tight-tolerance components from technical drawings

* Conduct in-process inspection and basic offset adjustments

* Support continuous improvement and proactive tooling decisions

* Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality targets

Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience with Citizen sliding head CNC machines

* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

* Confident with G-code and conversational programming

* Quality-focused with a proactive work ethic and team approach
