The Role

We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join our team. This role involves programming, setting, and operating Mazak Quick Turn CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision components for a variety of applications.

Working within a small but growing machining department, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact, develop your skills, and progress your career.

Key Responsibilities

* Program, set, and operate Mazak Quick Turn CNC turning machines

* Create and edit programs using Mazatrol software where required

* Machine precision components to tight tolerances

* Work with a range of materials including stainless steel, brass, aluminium, super duplex, and C22

* Inspect and check parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications and quality standards

* Support and guide apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practice

* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner

* Ability to program and set CNC lathes

* Experience with Mazak Quick Turn machines is advantageous

* Mazatrol programming knowledge is beneficial but not essential

* Experience with other CNC programming systems is welcome — training on Mazatrol can be provided

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
