CNC Setter Operator – Day Shift
Location: Basildon, Essex Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:15pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
About the Role:
We are working with a well-established engineering company in Basildon that is looking to expand its CNC team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience or a strong understanding of CNC setting and operating, who is looking to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set and operate CNC machines to produce precision components to specification.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and job instructions.
* Perform in-process checks using measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
* Make minor adjustments to machine settings and tooling as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator is ideal, we will also consider candidates with relevant knowledge and a willingness to learn.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
* A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
