Role: CNC Service Technician

Location: Birmingham / Field Based

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience + overtime

My client is looking for a CNC Service Technician to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong knowledge of Mazak CNC machinery to work with a respected company supporting customers across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of CNC machine tools Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Preventative maintenance and breakdown response at customer sites Diagnostics and support on Mazak CNC controls and machinery Machine geometry checks, alignments, and performance optimisation Providing technical support and training to customers where required Completing accurate service reports and documentation Maintaining excellent customer relationships and representing the business professionally

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a CNC Service Engineer or CNC Maintenance Engineer Strong hands-on experience with Mazak CNC machines Knowledge of Mazatrol / Mazak control systems Ability to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematics Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and manage field service schedules Experience with multi-axis machining centres or turning centres PLC fault finding knowledge Customer-facing service experienceWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
