Role: CNC Programmer/Miller

Location: Uxbridge

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

Our client is a well established precision engineering company supplying high quality machined components to industries including automotive, aerospace and general manufacturing. They are looking for an experience CNC Programmer/Miller to join their busy team.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Machine components to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Perform first-off inspections and basic quality checks
  • Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters
  • Maintain machines and ensure safe operation
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller (programming, setting, and operating)
  • Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Hurco controls preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
  • Experience working to tight tolerances
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Apprenticeship or engineering qualification
  • Experience with 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC machines
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
