Role Summary SPM is looking to recruit a flexible shift worker to set-up, operate and program edit our Milling Machines. Due to the capability of the machines and Sheffield Precisions varied product range it is advantageous that you will have experience in other CNC to enhance and become part of our highly skilled and flexible team. Role and Responsibilities These will include the following listed below and other duties may be assigned depending on the needs of the business. Competent to operate CNC 3, 4 & 5 Axis milling machines; operate controls, adjusting wear offsets, manual data input. Ability to read detailed engineering drawings To set-up machines accurately to ensure repeatability Read programs, edit existing programs, and capability of writing basic programs lone hand. Good understanding of Tooling & fixturing Produce machined components to tight tolerances Inspect own work; Comprehensive use of measuring equipment (Verniers, Micrometres, Gauges, Shadow graphs etc.)
