Location: Portsmouth Pay: £35,000 - £44,000 p.a Hours: Monday – Friday, 40hours + overtime available

About the Role As a CNC Miller, you’ll be programming, setting, and operating Heidenhain-controlled milling machines, with Hypermill used offline for more advanced jobs. You’ll be working on high-precision components across sectors including motorsport and advanced engineering — the type of work where standards matter and attention to detail pays off.

Key Responsibilities Create and optimise milling programs (Heidenhain & Hypermill)

Select tooling, cutting data, and machining strategies

Set and operate 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis machines

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Perform first-off and in-process inspections

Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes

What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a programmer

Confident with Heidenhain controls (essential)

Hypermill experience preferred: other CAD/Cam software also considered

Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds & speeds

Good understanding of GD&T

Quality-focused mindset and problem-solving ability

Able to work independently and as part of a team
