Swift Gloucester, are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Fanuc & Heidenhain Milling Programmer/Setter. The candidate would need to have a strong background in CNC milling with a minimum of 5 years programming experience. As a Programmer/Setter/Operator you would be expected to have knowledge of a manufacturing environment, assisting the flow of work through the machine shop, with setting and programming milling centres as a priority and good knowledge of surrounding machine upkeep. This is a full-time position, with remuneration negotiable depending on experience, 40hrs shift , from 7am until 4pm from Monday until Thursday and from 7am until 1pm on Friday. The role also offers progression potential for the right candidate. Programming & Technical Expertise Develop offline CNC programs for simultaneous 4-5-axis machining operations using CAD CAM software. Interpret 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to generate efficient toolpaths. Define machining strategies and select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tolerances to optimise cycle times and surface finish.
