Role:CNC Lathe Doosan 3 Axis MachinistLocation:Sandy, BedfordshireHours:Monday to Friday, 39 hours per weekSalary:£17.00 - £18.00 per hour (DOE)An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experiencedCNC Lathe Machinistto join a long-established and respected engineering manufacturing company.This is a hands-on role involving the manufacture of various precision components used in the companys own designed food processing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining parts to specification while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.Applicantsmustbe able to read engineering drawings, use measuring equipment and inspect their own components. You must also be able to work effectively as part of a team on the shop floor while adhering to Health & Safety, production and inspection standards.Duties of a CNC Lathe Doosan 3 Axis Machinist:Operating and machining components using CNC Doosan 3 axis lathesManufacturing precision components to engineering drawings and specificationsUsing measuring equipment to inspect and ensure parts meet required tolerancesMaintaining high standards of hygiene, discipline and housekeeping on the shop floorWorking collaboratively within the manufacturing teamIdentifying and implementing productivity improvements where possibleFollowing all Health & Safety and production proceduresWhat we would like from you:Experience operating CNC lathes (Doosan machines desirable)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gaugesStrong attention to detail and quality controlAbility to work within a team in a busy manufacturing environmentCity & Guilds qualification or Engineering Apprenticeship desirableMinimum4 years machining experienceif no formal qualificationWorking Hours:Monday:7:30am 1:00pm / 1:30pm 4:00pmTuesday:7:30am 1:00pm / 1:30pm 4:30pmWednesday & Thursday:7:30am 1:00pm / 1:30pm 5:00pmFriday:7:30am 12:00pm (unless working overtime)Breaks include a10 minute break (10:00am 10:10am)and30 minute lunch (1:00pm 1:30pm).Overtime is generally available and paid at1.5x hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday morningsBEDFORDPERMBy applying to this job advertisement, you confirm you have read and understood ourData Protection and Privacy statementand give OA Group authorisation to hold you provided data.Thank you for your interest in this vacancy, which is being advertised by OA Group, who are acting as an employment agency / business.
