An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer to join a well-established company! Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Salary: £35,000 - £52,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience. Location: Fareham, Hampshire PO14. About The Company: They are looking for a time served CNC Machinist to operate their range of 3 and 5 axis Heidenhain controlled vertical machining centres. The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in Programming, Setting and the Operation of CNC VMC's working in a range of materials. They will need to be able to program on and off-line, ideally with experience in Powermill CAM. About The Role: To meet exacting customer requirements. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings & specifications. Create, load, save and edit CNC programs using Heidenhain controls. Set up tooling and work piece datum's. Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Self-inspect own work. To maintain good housekeeping standards. To ensure safe working practices are maintained Candidate Requirements: * Time Served Machinist. Ability to establish & develop relationships and be a good team player. * Knowledge of mould tools would be an advantage. Good understanding of machining techniques. * Skill in planning methods of machining. * Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines. * Capable of programming both on and off machine controls. * Able to work using own initiative. * Well organised and dependable. * Able to interpret engineering drawings and to self inspect critical features. * Knowledge of CAM programming would be beneficial, ideally using Powermill. Experience in programming complex parts. Experience in Heidenhain programming essential Flexible Working Options Available: * Flexi-time. * 40-50 hours per week. * Finish at 12 noon on Fridays. * No weekend work.
