Job Title: CNC Setter \n\nLocation: Northampton\n\nShift: Mon to Fri 7:30am - 4:15pm (37.5 hours)\n\nSalary: Up to £35,202\n\nBenefits: Free onsite parking, company pension\n\nCompany Overview: A precision engineering and advanced manufacturing operation.\n\nThe CNC Setter role:\n\nThe client is willing to consider either a CNC Miller or Turner\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nSet and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis where applicable)\n\nWork from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to tight tolerances\n\nPerform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, CMM)\n\nAdjust tooling, offsets, and machine parameters to ensure optimal cutting performance and part quality\n\nMachine free-issue parts such as castings, forgings, and fabrications, ensuring proper fixturing and process control\n\nSupport continuous improvement by identifying process optimisations and tooling improvements\n\nMaintain clean, organised, and safe workstations in line with company and industry standards\n\nCollaborate with the team leader, quality engineers, and production planners to meet production deadlines\n\nPrevious Experience:\n\nStrong background in either CNC milling or CNC turning\n\nProficient in reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings\n\nExperience working to tight tolerances and small batch work\n\nOnline programming and ability to read G codes is desirable\n\nExperience with Fanuc controls\n\nTo Apply:\n\nTo be forwarded for an immediate interview, click the button below and one our qualified consultants will be in touch
