Job Description

Mazco Recruitment is partnering with a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Portsmouth to recruit an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-specification engineering environment working across complex components for demanding industries.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will play a key part in ensuring high-quality, right-first-time production through both CMM programming/operation and hands-on manual inspection.\nResponsibilities include:\n\n * \n\n Programming and operating CMM equipment, including LK Altera C Coordinate Measurement Machines\n\n * \n\n Using Aberlink, Faro Arm and other metrology software/systems\n\n * \n\n Carrying out first-off inspection, in-process checks, and final inspection\n\n * \n\n Performing manual inspection using micrometers, verniers, height gauges, shadowgraphs, etc.\n\n * \n\n Supporting a busy quality department in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment\n\n * \n\n Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T\n\nAbout You\n\nWe’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a CMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, or Quality Inspector\n\n * \n\n Strong ability to programme and operate CMMs (Aberlink, LK, Faro Arm or similar)\n\n * \n\n Solid understanding of quality standards and inspection methods\n\n * \n\n Confidence working independently and within a team\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n * \n\n Day shift working (late shift also considered for the right candidate)\n\n * \n\n 40-hour week\n\n * \n\n Salary negotiable based on experience\n\n * \n\n Long-term stability with a growing engineering firm\n\n * \n\n Supportive team and modern inspection equipment
