Cloud Operations Lead Engineer£40000-50000 GBPBonus Scheme, PensionOnsite WORKINGLocation: Bristol, South West - United Kingdom Type: PermanentCloud Operations Lead EngineerCheltenham Up to £50,000 (On-Site)S/C ClearableWe're looking for a Lead Cloud Operations Engineers to join a secure operations team supporting critical national infrastructure.This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with modern cloud and platform technologies while providing frontline operational support within a mission-critical setting.What you'll have the opportunity to do as a Cloud Operations Lead Engineer• Lead 24/7 operational shifts, owning live incidents and acting as the senior escalation point for technical and stakeholder issues• Provide hands-on troubleshooting across Linux, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and networking in secure environments• Oversee incident, ticket and runbook management, driving service stability and continuous improvement• Reduce operational toil by identifying process, automation and reliability improvements• Mentor and support engineers on shift, building capability and operational maturityAbout the Candidate The right Cloud Operations Lead Engineer will have:• Significant experience in production cloud or platform operations, with a track record of supporting live, mission-critical services• Proven ability to lead engineers during shifts, owning incidents, prioritising work and acting as the senior escalation point• Strong hands-on skills in Linux systems, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), with confidence troubleshooting complex issues• Calm and decisive under pressure, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders during incidentsWhat's in it for you? • Salary from £40,000 to £50,000 + Bonus• 25 Days holiday per annum• Extensive benefits package• Continuous training provided for career progressionTo hear more about the Cloud Lead Operations Engineer role contact Daire McIlhatton atReference: AMC/DMI/COPostcode: GL1 1RY#damcJBRP1_UKTJ
